Invisalign can address many of the same issues as conventional braces. However, not everyone is a candidate for clear aligners treatment. Unlike traditional braces that use metal brackets, bands, and wires, Invisalign uses clear plastic teeth aligners to straighten your teeth. You simply slide the aligners over your teeth and wear them for at least 20-22 hours a day. You can freely remove your aligners for eating, brushing, or a special occasion, so long as you put them back in when you’re done.
Your Invisalign aligners will be comfortable because they don’t contain any metal or pointed edges that can irritate sensitive areas in your mouth. Most of our patients report little or no trouble getting used to the aligners. They will fit snugly over your teeth and gently shift them into their ideal positions.
