Dr. Kitt is supported by a team of highly motivated and experienced professionals whose primary goal is to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible during your visits. We consider each other and our patients to be one big family, and we’ll treat you as such by checking you in quickly, answering any questions immediately, and doing everything we can to deliver a smooth and easy appointment. Amie, Office Manager
Amie was raised in Palestine and earned her Master’s in Speech Pathology from Baylor. After working in the corporate world for almost ten years, she decided to take a step away and raise her children. Eventually, she chose to get back into the game by helping at the family business, Kitt Dental. She spends most of her days presenting treatment plans and helping patients navigate their personal and financial needs in relation to future care, along with other projects when needed. She really enjoys simply listening to people and helping them move forward – after all, you’re dealing with a whole person, not just a smile! She never expected to find such satisfaction working up front in the office.
Amie and Dr. Kitt have three grown children together. Their oldest son and his wife live in Colorado, while their middle son has entered into student ministry at Texas Tech campus after graduating from this great university. Their daughter interned in Kentucky during Covid and fell in love with all things animal and Kentucky–she now attends UK majoring in pre-vet. As for personal hobbies, Amie likes to cook, walk with friends, ride mountain bikes in Faulkner Park, and explore East Texas with her husband on his motorcycle.
Samantha, Patient/Insurance Coordinator
A Tyler native, Samantha has been working in the dental world for nearly two full decades so far. During her ten plus years at Kitt Dental, she continues to enjoy interacting with our wonderful patients while helping them navigate their insurance concerns and questions. She loves the “small town” feel of Kitt Dental and working together with our great team to truly achieve the goal of what’s best for each patient. Everyone appreciates Sam’s knowledge about the insurance details that seem to change every year. Thankfully, Sam keeps us on our toes!
Samantha is married to the love of her life, Van, and together, they have five children ranging in ages from 9-18. The last member of their family is a super spoiled Yorkie. Outside of working hours, she enjoys road trips, being outdoors and spending time doing “all the things” with her family!
Kassidy, Registered Dental Hygienist
While Kassidy is new to our team, she is not new to the dental world. Becoming an RDA in 2015 was her first stop and she has since completed her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene while also training in laser dentistry. She loves creating a comfortable and positive experience for everyone she treats along with being part of an amazing team that builds lasting relationships with our patients. Kassidy’s can-do attitude has helped us with new technology and cool computer tips–we appreciate you, Kassidy!
Kassidy has been married to her husband John since 2015 and they enjoy raising their daughter Adyson while they take care of all their fun animals. Dogs, cats, chickens and even bees keep Kassidy busy when she is not working with patients. Music, yoga, swimming and just being outdoors are also some of her favorites!
Kim, Registered Dental Assistant
Kim has been in the dental field for many years and comes to us with excellent experience and top-notch skills. She joined our Kitt Dental team late in 2021. Kim’s favorite part of working in the dental field is the patients. You can see it in her smile as she greets and cares for the people in our office. While attention to detail is always important, Kim shines in this area, allowing our clinical department to continue to improve and grow. Thanks Kim!
When Kim is away from work, she keeps herself occupied with cooking, baking, gardening, reading and doing puzzles. Her green thumb is evident as we learn more about her knowledge of caring for different plants. We could all learn a thing or two. :) Kim grew up in East Texas and has never left; finding plenty to keep her busy and engaged with her friends and family who live close by.
Tawney, Registered Dental Hygienist
As a kid, Tawney loved going to the dentist’s office and always thought it would be fun to work there and help people too. Today, she’s been a part of this field for well over 20 years! Knowing that she’s helped improve the overall health of her patients and the way they see their smiles means the world to her.
Outside of working hours, Tawney’s top priority is spending quality time with her husband and her family. She also really enjoys shopping (mostly for other people), crafting, having loved ones over for cookouts, and watching women’s gymnastics.
