Frequently Asked Dental Questions

Ask Your Dentist

Have a question? Patients send us questions all the time, and we’re always happy to answer them. You’re welcome to give us a call and ask whatever is on your mind concerning your dental care, but first, we recommend taking a moment to look over our responses to some of our most popular questions below.

How long will my first appointment be?

We ask that patients set aside at least an hour for their initial examination and X-rays. This gives us plenty of time to examine the mouth, understand a patient’s goals and dental history, and work out an ongoing care plan that perfectly suits their situation and budget.

How often should I get a checkup and cleaning?

On average, a person should get a checkup and cleaning at least twice a year. Why? Because these services allow our team to spot minor issues and take care of them before they cause lasting damage or pain, plus they go a long way in preventing cavities and gum disease from developing in the first place.

What is the best way to replace my missing teeth?

We highly recommend dental implants to every patient who is looking to fill gaps in their smile. In short, implants are the next best thing to natural teeth when it comes to strength, aesthetics, and longevity, allowing patients to recover all of their lost function for decades to come.

How long will it take to replace my teeth?

The timeline for tooth replacement is dependent on several factors, such as how many teeth are missing, the current health of a patient’s mouth, and what type of prosthetic they choose. We can give you an estimated timeline at an in-person consultation so you’ll know what to expect with each of your options.

Will you accept my dental insurance?

Yes! We are happy to file dental insurance claims in order to maximize benefits while also providing each patient with an accurate estimate of their out-of-pocket costs. To get an idea of how your care will be covered when you come to see us, be sure to give us a call ahead of your appointment. We will want you to send us a copy of your insurance card as soon as possible so that our team can complete the necessary research and give you plenty of information about what to expect.

I don’t have dental insurance. Is there another way I can save on my dental care?

Yes! You can sign up for our in-house membership plan. It costs less than traditional insurance but offers many of the same benefits, but without the hassles. Low monthly payments cover your basic checkups and cleanings and give you a 10% discount on all other treatments. To learn more and how to sign up, give us a call today.
