I strive to make a difference in people’s lives. My staff and I make our office a place of encouragement. We want our patients to have healthy mouths and beautiful teeth and smiles, but most importantly, we want them to know we care about them as individuals.
As a dentist, I have the ability to improve a person’s dental health, and their smile, while also improving their overall wellness. I help my patients understand the connection between oral and body health, and how to achieve both. When I see a person take those lessons to heart, and make positive changes in their lives, I know they are going to be happier and healthier.
I feel honored by the trust my patients place in myself and the team. They not only rely on us to care for their smile, but they share their lives with us, too. The bonds I form with my patients are personally and professionally fulfilling, and are the most rewarding aspect of being a dentist.
I was born in Savannah, GA, and attended Junior High and High School in Houston, TX. For the last 20 years I’ve lived in East Texas and currently reside in Tyler, with my wife Amie and our three children; two who are now in college. Amie is a fourth-generation East Texan who loves connecting with our patients! I’m passionate about spending quality time with my family, talking and laughing with them, and supporting their various interests.
Together, we enjoy the great outdoors. When I’m not at the practice or with my family, I’m most likely working on a photography project or taking long rides through the countryside on my Harley. I also enjoy playing the guitar.
We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive dental care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented dental team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding dental experience every time you visit our practice. We are pleased to welcome you and your family, and we look forward to working with you.
Amie grew up in Palestine and loves living in East Texas. Her role at Kitt Dental includes treatment plan presentation and financial arrangements. Helping people move forward and take care of their oral health is her goal. She also handles our office marketing, human resources, and staff development.
Amie loves being outside with her husband of 27 years and with their three children. Away from work she enjoys reading, bicycling with her husband, walking with friends, and anything involving time with her family.
Bonnie enjoys getting to know her patients and their families on a personal level, making the people she cares about feel confident in their healthy and beautiful smiles! She updates patients’ medical and dental histories, takes X-rays, assesses their oral health, cleans their teeth and provides gum therapy when needed. Much of her focus is on patient education, helping patients learn the best ways to keep their mouth and smile in great shape.
Bonnie shares her life with two cats, Ian and Travis, and a horse, Scarlett. She enjoys riding horses, practicing running barrels, and roping. Hunting and country music concerts also occupy her time. She loves attending Cross Brand Cowboy Church and their rodeos.
Iris likes meeting new people and getting to know them while providing excellent care. She assists Dr. Kitt as he cares for our patients. Iris wants our patients to know we are here for them, whatever they need, and that this is a safe and supportive office. Besides x-rays, impressions for nightguards and bleaching trays, and fabricating the trays, she makes sure we follow strict OSHA guidelines to provide a safe and clean environment for our patients and staff. Iris is also fluent in Spanish and can assist you if this is your preferred language.
During her time off, Iris loves to spend time with her niece, Emily. Her other interests include shopping and volunteering at Bethesda Health Clinic. She is an active member of her church, I.E.M.S.
Julie enjoys the conversations with her patients, learning about their lives and interests which builds relationships, and it also gives her insight into how she can help them improve their oral health. She loves teaching patients about the connection between dental and overall health, and watching when they make positive changes in their life! While she’s cleaning teeth, placing sealants, taking x-rays, and updating a chart, she is constantly teaching and encouraging her patients.
Julie loves supporting her two sons, Dylan and Ryan, in their extracurricular activities, including time on Lake Palestine. Reading and watching good movies also keep her busy.
Samantha loves working with great people, all focused on delivering exceptional care to our patients and families. Her days are filled with smiles, and she loves it! Wearing many hats, she answers the phones, greets patients as they arrive, schedules visits, and most importantly, helps our patients understand their insurance benefits. She oversees the flow of the office and make sure the team can focus on our patients.
Samantha and her husband, Billy, have three children, Mikayla, Abby, and Coleman. When away from her work, she loves time with her family, eating out, enjoying the outdoors, watching movies, and playing board games. She also enjoys reading, listening to music, and is an active member of CrossPointe Community Church.
